THE CABINET KNOWS ITS STOCK
Implify turns the consignment stock in the dental practice into a system that recognises its own inventory.

Implify GmbH from Frankfurt am Main emerged in 2020 from a project at the Frankfurt School. It started as a procurement platform for dental implants.
Today, Implify is a full-service provider for RFID projects with its own hardware and the cloud software “Implify Connect”. Since 2021, IOX has been the development partner for the devices, the back end and operations.
The Situation
The consignment stock was located at the customer’s premises but belonged to the supplier. That was convenient for the practice, but a blind spot for the manufacturer.
Stock was recorded the way it had been for decades: counted, noted and reported. But the numbers were not always right.
For Implify, however, this was not a question of convenience but the core question of the business model. Without automatic capture, there is no automatic reordering. And nobody in-house could take responsibility for the technology in the cabinet: wireless, read behaviour, antennas, device electronics.
The Key Question
What does a cabinet have to be able to do so that its contents reliably turn into an order?
At first, the cabinet only reads tags and generates data. Only when incoming and outgoing goods are clearly defined and the reorder point is set does this generate an order.
What We Built
PRODUCT: An RFID cabinet in two variants, box and roll container. When the door closes, it reads every package – even the one at the very back.
SYSTEM: A cloud back end with servers in Germany. It detects withdrawals, triggers the order when the reorder point is reached and is connected to the merchandise management system.
TEAM: It started with a workshop, followed by the development contract one month later. After setup and operation, Implify took over the system itself. IOX remains the development partner and supports technical questions.
The Result
Implify Connect went live. The RFID inventory management is available in two device variants: as a box and as a roll container. Both are ready for use over the air – without any installation project.
Inventory management now works even better. Stock no longer has to be counted – it can be read. Reordering runs without any action by the practice.
The dental solution has become an offering for several industries. In 2024, Implify opened its solution beyond the dental sector and today also offers it for healthcare, pharma and logistics.
